Actually, it's more like there is a non-existent keyhole on the driver's side door.. First thought was that it would have to do with traffic, with not walking out on the street to get into the truck.. If you watch enough The Andy Griffith Show episodes, you'll see any number of the show's characters entering cars on the sidewalk side, while they're still talking to Andy Taylor, of course..
You know, now that I think more on it now.. Maybe this is where the habit of women leaning over to unlock their dates' or spouses' doors comes from.. The man would unlock the door and let the lady in first then walk around to his side while she leaned over to open it for him.. It could happen.. :grin:
